live recordings

i have been dilligently sifting through my archive and have come up with some material of interest, which i will endeavour to post here over the coming days. amongst this cache are two live recordings, one from the early phase of the band, late nineties, and one from 2003. others are also in possession of these recordings and as my copy of the earlier recording is on cassette, i have used a version provided by mr henry davies, to whom i am indebted.

the first live recording is taken from when the band were a five-piece unit and featured ben fair and stephen coles of the fabulous a.p.a.t.t, on guitar synth and drums respectively, and thomas o'brien, late of charger, on bass, alongside myself on guitar and peet lehtola a.k.a dandy on vocals. the tracks represented are a different version of the album track 'a bodiless heart' a different version of the album track 'this life is a monument to ruin', entitled 'new maps of hell', and a track that we attempted to record once and failed dismally at, entitled 'dudgeon'. this recording would have been made at the star and garter in manchester, i am certain, but i couldn't be any more specific than that.

the second recording, if i remember correctly, is dated 01/04/2003 and is also from a show at the star and garter, manchester. it featured the line-up of myself, peet lehtola a.k.a dandy, thomas o'brien and party paul sanderson, of charger, on drums. it was recorded from the audience by messrs. fair and coles, who also provide a commentary. the featured songs are 'like gold debased, like shit' - or 'fuckpig' to give it's earlier title - and 'a bodiless heart'.

please excuse the sound quality of both recordings, rife as they are with dropouts and the like.
